Rhino's take 1st place

Grandad and Buddy after the big win

Buddy was very excited about winning 1st place. Check out the size of his trophy.

This is Buddy with one of his best friends Trace. He was the teams quarterback and he is awesome.

This is the 2009 Rhino team. They are a great bunch of boys.

Buddy's team took first place in the championship game. Yay!!!! It was so exciting. Grandad came just to watch Buddy play. It meant so much to all of us that he came. It is something that Buddy will never forget. Buddy had a great game. He was able to sack the quarterback 3-4 times and had several great tackles. He did awesome. I don't know all the details, however, Wes and Grandad do so I will find out and post the correct information. The final score of the game was 14-13. The Bears played a great game but in the end we were able to pull it off. Buddy was awarded the defensive mvp for the season. He loved playing football and can't wait for the all star game in the middle of December.

Buddy's Playoff Game

Buddy making a run for a 1st down

Here is Buddy running to stop the Wranglers from scoring a touch down. Below, Buddy is making the saving tackle.

Buddy and his fellow Rhino's celebrated after winning the game and moving on to the championship round.

This weekend Buddy's football team the Rhino's played in their first playoff game. They played against the Wranglers. Buddy had a great game. I don't know all of the football lingo and so Wes will have to get on and give all the details of the game. I just know they looked really good. Buddy caught an amazing pass from the quarterback Trace Jordan, also one of Buddy's best friends, on the fourth down. Then he had a great tackle on number 80 from the Wranglers. The kid had broken away and was running down the field without anyone near him. Buddy came from nowhere and tackled him to the ground. The team was then able to hold them for four downs and they were unable to score. Then on the last play of the game, the Wranglers were making a run for another touchdown to tie the game and the smallest guy on our team, Jake Shannon, tackled the kid and he fumbled the ball. Buddy jumped on the ball and recovered it for the Rhino's ending the game with a final victory of 13 to 6. This Saturday the will play in the championship game against the Bears. Buddy is so excited he can barely stand it. Thanks to Karen we have amazing photos from the game, these are just a few of the highlights. Grandad Young is making the trek out to Katy on Thursday night to be here to see the championship game. Buddy is a very happy boy and Wes and I are very very proud parents.
