Dallas Cowboys Game

Wes, Jack & Buddy went to the first Monday night football game in the new Dallas arena. The Cowboys played against the Carolina Panthers. Wes and the boys said that it was a great game and that they had a blast being there together. I am so glad that Wes was able to take some time out of his hectic schedule to take the boys to Dallas for the game. It is something they will always remember. We really do have the best Dad!

Benjamin is blessed

Today Ben was blessed at church. It was a great day spent with friends and family. We are grateful for those who took the time to be here with us today. We wish that more of our family could have been here but we understand that there is a small travel issue. It was a beautiful blessing. Our family is so blessed to have a Daddy that holds the priesthood. Thank you Wes for living righteously to allow us to have the blessing of the priesthood in our home. It means everything to me.

Nonna turns 74

Grandma Nonna came to visit us for Ben's blessing and while she was here she turned 74 years old. It wasn't a very exciting day because all six kids were home sick from school. However, she was a great sport and we tried to make the most of it. We had dinner and celebrated with cheesecake and apple pie. Two of my favorites as well. I don't know that she will want to spend another birthday with us here in Texas. Sorry Nonna. I hope that you have a better year than you had birthday.

Josie Turns 7

Josie is 7 years old. Josie was feeling a little under the weather but she managed to find enough strength to go to school to celebrate the special day with her friends. Daddy took her Chick-Fil-A for lunch which was the highlight of her day. That evening we had cake and ice cream with the Christensen's, Elliott's and Jill and Hannah. They were so great to come party with us. Josie received lots of fun presents and loved having her friends and family around.

I am so grateful that Josie is my girl. She is truly a blessing to our family. She reminds us that everyone needs a little pink and a little drama in their life to be really happy. She is beautiful and full of love for everyone around her. I am so blessed that our Heavenly Father allowed me to be her mom and I hope that she will always know how much I love her. Happy Birthday Josie

Grandma Boulter is Gone

Well, Grandma Boulter had to go home. It was a very sad day at our house. Mom, I can't thank you enough for all your help over the past three weeks. I never would have made it without you. I am so grateful for all that you did for me and my family. You know that you have made a huge impact on a family when your son in law is wishing that you could live with us forever. :) I love you Mom thanks again for being the best Mom in the world.

Buddy's First Football Game

Buddy had his first football game on Saturday. They won 13 to 0. According to several of the coaches from other teams, our team is the one to beat this season. Buddy played the entire game and did great. He plays running back and loves it. He had a great carry down the field for a touchdown. However, there was a flag on the play for holding and so the ball was brought back and the touchdown didn't count, but he looked good. Wes was beaming with pride watching him play. I don't know who enjoyed the game more Buddy or Daddy. I had no idea that Buddy would love it as much as he does. I have to admit it is really fun to watch him play. Our friends the Christensen's came to watch him play and Karen took some great photos of him. She is so talented. We are so lucky to have her to take photos of the kids.

Bayou Wildlife Park

On Labor Day we took the kids to the Bayou Wildlife Park in Alvin, TX. Jill and Hannah told us about it and so we loaded up with Grandma Boulter, the Christensen's and the Elliott's and headed out. When we first got there we were welcomed by ostrich's, onyx, and deer. It was so funny, they came right up to our windows and stuck their heads in the car to see what was going on. All of our kids were with Mark and Karen in the car in front of us. Apparently, they were freaking out a little bit. Even Wes was taken off guard when the ostrich stuck his head in to say hello. Then we loaded onto the tram and set off to see all the other animals. We saw a rhino, giraffes, deer, lemurs and lots of other animals. They even had a petting zoo full of pigmay goats that Wes decided he wanted to take home with him. You know, since we don't have enough chaos around our house, he thought we should add a goat to the mix. haha I can't believe we finally found something different to do that everyone loved. Well, almost everyone, Garrett didn't really care for it at first. However, by the end he too was having a good time. Thanks Jill and Hannah. And a huge thanks to all who came with us and made it a GREAT day.
